The Walt Disney Archives has opened its vault of treasures, showcasing hundreds of extraordinary objects, including many of Disney's “Crown Jewels” – more than 120 artifacts and works of art, costumes and props, and incredible memorabilia.
Eight imaginatively themed galleries showcasing renowned classics from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) to Encanto (2021), including the latest members of the Disney family – Pixar, Star Wars, and MARVEL!

The centre has two designated carparks on Alfred Street and one on Macalister Street. There is ample street parking in nearby streets, however patrons must be aware that on-street parking includes a mix of restricted and non-restricted parking. The exhibition will be held in an indoor venue.
Yes, the venue is a highly accessible venue including restrooms, wheelchair friendly restrooms and a parenting room with baby changing facilities.

If you misplace something within the exhibition, please alert a member of staff and they will try to help you retrieve your belongings.

If your item has been found, you will need to collect it within two weeks of the event date. After this date items will be donated/disposed after a month if not collected.
Disney: The Exhibition invites guests to step into eight magnificent and imaginatively themed galleries, where moving stories, unique interactive installations, and behind-the-scenes glimpses will take them on a journey through 100 years of The Walt Disney Company. There are eight large and imaginatively themed galleries with renowned classics from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) to Encanto (2021), including the latest members of the Disney family – Pixar, Star Wars and MARVEL. Celebrate the magic of Disney with timeless stories and memories through the visual, audio, and interactive elements of Disney: The Exhibition.
Disney: The Exhibition takes about 90 minutes to experience the eight galleries, but you are welcome to stay as long as you’d like.

Feel free to take photos and videos. Professional equipment and tripods are not permitted, and please be careful not to disturb other guests when taking photos.
The exhibition is accessible to all ages. Parental discretion is advised when deciding if the exhibition will be suitable for your child.
At the end of the exhibition, you will find a great store with a wide variety of exclusive and exhibition-related products.
Unfortunately, there are no character meet & greets at Disney: The Exhibition. The exhibition showcases unique rare artifacts and memorabilia from the past 100 years of Disney.
Drop-off zones
The MECC has one official drop off zone, which is located in the main carpark with entry via Alfred Street. An additional drop off zone is located in the Mackay Regional Council carpark with entry via Gordon Street.
Accessible entries
Most entries to the MECC are accessible via either a ramp, or level ground flooring.

Yes, however there is limited space for storage and it may be temporarily unavailable for busy periods.
The Exhibition is not suitable for animals, only service animals are allowed.
Food and drinks are not permitted inside the exhibition.
Yes. On arrival at MECC you can relax with a drink as well as delicious snacks, drinks and confectionery or just catch up with friends in the foyer.
Our Café and Bar are open one hour prior to an event.
External commercial food or beverage products are not permitted to be brought into the venue.
Located just across from the MECC in Artspace Mackay, Foodspace offers a cool, contemporary place to unwind before an event (during trading hours). Offering a delicious selection of gourmet but affordable delights for breakfast or lunch, Foodspace changes their menu regularly meaning there is always something new to try.
Please note backpacks of any type and size are not permitted into the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre, including handbags that can be worn as a backpack. All other bags must be under A4 size.

It is recommended that you buy tickets in advance; the box office will be open at the venue, however tickets are only available until sold out.
Ages 3+ at the date of the event require a ticket for entry.
A children price is available for a child aged 3–12 years.
